I am in dire want and need of rain in real life! It's been scorching hot here in Manila that I can't help but imagine I'm somewhere windy and drizzling. And if I was ever somewhere in that kind of place, this look will be fashionably perfect for it, don't you think? :)

This outfit is part of Solidea Folies' Milano Collection and is a combination of the Bianca, Dots Rain and Black Rain sets. I simply mixed and matched them to create a different set; and added cool Chop Zuey cuffs to complete the look. Hope you like today's style. Have a cool and relaxing day, everyone!

Look of the Day 056

So after arranging, re-arranging, adding, deleting and just changing my mind several times, I'm finally finished setting up my home at Little Boracay. And I finally had some time to style and take a photo of myself. Yay! :p 

Today, I'm wearing a paisley maxi dress in blue by Rebel Hope and stylish silver and aqua jewelry from FINESMITH. I did this styling to match my new home, as I wanted to take a photo for posterity's sake. I guess this is natural for people living on land for the first time -- I hope! Hahaha... My Little Boracay

"Peace -- that was the other name for home." ~ Kathleen Norris

I've spent the past 3 days decorating and redecorating my newly acquired small patch of land in Second Life. It's my first time to actually live on the ground as I've always been comfortable living in a skybox since the first time I had a place to live in SL. Last week, Anthony invited me to his lovely home and realized that among us in our little clique... I was the only one still living up in the sky.

Honestly, I have always thought of moving down and living on the ground but I get scared about the thought of strangers and weirdos invading my privacy and disturbing the peace. But now that I've taken the plunge and already began playing around with land controls, I realized that fear is somewhat unfounded. :p

So when my rental at my last skybox expired, I decided to look for an affordable place to stay -- on land and near water. Thankfully, I found a peaceful residential sim to settle in with seemingly quiet neighbors. Just perfect. :) I initially decorated the place in shabby chic style but decided to go native and tropical.

The result is, well, this! And I called my new home "Little Boracay" in honor of Asia's most beautiful beach: Boracay Island, Philippines. Unlike the usual homes in SL, my tiny piece of paradise doesn't have a bedroom or kitchen or bathroom. I do have loungers, a hot tub, spa bed, non-stop reggae music and unlimited supply of liquor. Hahaha! :p Just a place to chill by myself or hang out with my closest friends. :)
